The HitchHiker’s Guide to the HHGG knockoffs, clones, likenesses and other knick-knacks.
Here’s a list of everything that reminds one of Douglas Adams’ work on the Books, the Radio Shows, and the TV Series. I don’t think anyone will disagree with me when I say that it was mostly a totally bad movie and I’d much rather forget it.
Here’s the list, with some hastily embroidered footnotes, if I get that far.
ZZ9 Plural Alpha: Official DNA HHGG fanclub
HitchHiker’s on Radio 4: BBC radio 4’s pages on the Radio Series
Original Series: BBC Cult page on HHGG
Everything 2: Random strangers walk in and do the work for the editors, who are usually out to lunch.
Galactic Guide: Nearly there
Real HHG: Some guy with a project. Oddball.
Wikipedia: This actually makes money and the editors have to do some major work. But the strangers still walk in to do most of the work during lunch hours.
H2G2: The Douglas Adams’ original project, now hosted by the Beeb.
VHI Interactive’s HHGttG: Vogon Heavy Industries Ltd. and Megadodo Publications bring to you, The Guide.
Wikia: A new kind of Wiki. Community based editing.
There are more. I will find them. I will.
